Profile
My passion is to help clients identify the cause of psychological suffering by getting a clearer understanding of how the mind works. I use a combination of mindfulness and Inquiry.
Before I became a psychotherapist, I worked as a physician for almost a decade, in England and in India. Therefore, I have an interest in how physical illnesses and bodily symptoms impact one’s sense of well-being.
As a psychotherapist, I worked at the University of Washington for almost two decades before leaving to start a private practice. Currently, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Washington, Seattle.

About the Nondual Approach | Human suffering is closely linked to our tendency to identify with whatever arises in awareness. As the Buddha explained, we then struggle to either hold onto or try to push away whatever is arising in awareness. The constant desires and fears that emerge as a result of our struggles to change our experience takes us into an imaginary world. Whatever arises ultimately is not in our control and we are not separate from "it". When we are able to transcend the apparent separation of the mind and its contents, we begin to rest as awareness. Then perhaps, we can begin to appreciate life as it unfolds, in peace. |
