Profile

Nichola is based in West Yorkshire, England and offers 1:1 appointment’s either face to face or by skype/Zoom.
Having begun training as a Therapist in 1997 Nichola found herself drawn to exploring theories and writings around understanding the true meaning of our being, what is our purpose and what does it mean to be human? She began her own journey of discovery, which eventually brought her back to where she started, in knowing that true essence that had always been there. This deeper understanding brought a clarity to her work and she offers a space as a witnessing partner for people to explore their own true nature and find meaning.
Her work as a therapist has been influenced by Relational and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Transpersonal Psychology, mindfulness and more recently has been working within a neurobiological framework to help understand the bodies response to trauma. Nichola is also currently training in the art and science of yoga and incorporates breathwork and meditation in her work where appropriate.
Nichola has worked in the NHS as a Therapist for the past seventeen years and now works full time in private practice, she has been an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy since 2003 and is a member of the spirituality and counselling division of the BACP, she is also a qualified Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and a member of EMDR Association UK and Ireland.

About the Nondual Approach

The essence of our true being is there in us all, but sometimes it feels hard to reach or understand, through the pain it can be difficult to make sense of what is trying to emerge. Though it can be a cliché, I find it difficult to use another word to describe our experience, other than a 'journey', I believe we're all on a journey of self discovery and each have our own path to tread, while at the same time being connected to the whole. I invite a space where together we can unpack what asks for our attention in order to be released or understood and create space to let in or accept what is there. I work with you where you are at on your journey and together we can tailor the therapy to where would be most helpful for you in this moment.
